The Major Wildfire Incident Management Team established its operations center in Fermont on Tuesday evening and implemented its action plan for the wildfires located along Route 389. Four crews of 20 wildland firefighters are currently on site, and two additional crews could be added by Sunday, bringing the complex’s workforce to nearly 150 personnel. Three helicopters are also supporting operations, primarily for crew transport and aerial surveillance.

The precipitation received since Tuesday has provided more favorable operating conditions and allowed crews to make substantial progress on Wednesday along the western flank and the rear of Fire 315, located to the north. Work can therefore continue on the remaining sections of the fire perimeter.

The Intervention Management Team established its operations centre in Fermont on Tuesday evening and implemented its action plan for the wildfires located along Highway 389. Rainfall received overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday has created more favourable conditions for firefighting operations and will allow crews to make further progress over the coming days.

Ground and aerial operations are planned on the western flank of Fire 315, while aerial monitoring will be maintained on the fires located farther north, toward Fermont.

Although the rain has provided some relief in this area, the situation remains dynamic, and operations will continue based on changing conditions on the ground.
